How many matches to rank up in Deadlock

Matches to the next rank are counted in net wins - wins minus losses. A full rank is about 23 net wins; how many matches that takes depends on your win rate: about 235 games at 55%, about 117 at 60%. Tables and the formula below.

Count net wins

A win gives about 300 points and a loss takes the same. Only the difference moves you: a 12-8 record is four net wins, about 1,200 points. A sub-rank takes 1,000 points, crossing into the next rank 2,000, a full rank 7,000.

Matches at your win rate

You need as many matches as it takes to collect the net wins. Formula: matches = net wins / (2 x win rate - 1). At 55% every 100 matches give you 10 net wins, at 60% they give 20.

There is one shortcut per season - placements. The first eight matches weigh more than regular ones and can put you a rank higher straight away, but never above Oracle VI. After that only regular matches move you.

Run it for your account

How to need fewer matches

  • Lift your win rate by even a few points: going from 52 to 55% more than halves the matches per rank.
  • Do not play tilted: two losses in a row cost about 600 points, more than half a sub-rank.
  • Keep a short hero pool with win rates above your rank average.
  • Duo with a regular partner of your own or a neighbouring rank.

Питання та відповіді

How many matches does one rank take in Deadlock?

About 23 net wins. At a 55% win rate that is roughly 235 matches, at 60% about 117, at 52% almost 600.

How many wins for a sub-rank?

A sub-rank is 1,000 points: 3-4 net wins at about 300 points per match. Crossing into the next rank costs 2,000 points, about 6-7 net wins.

Why doesn't my rank move at a 50% win rate?

Wins and losses cancel out and points net to zero. You only climb above 50%, and the closer you are to 50%, the more matches it takes.

Does the math include the win streak bonus?

No, it uses a flat 300 points. Streaks from the third win in a row add 70 to 130 points and shorten the climb.
