Checklist before November 5

  1. Unlock ranked: 60 Standard wins and three heroes with 15 wins each.
  2. Build a three-hero pool across roles - you play calibration solo.
  3. Clear penalties: low priority and a chat ban block Ranked entry.
  4. Find a duo partner for the season within one rank of you.
  5. Skip the last-week grind for a badge: your peak rank is saved anyway.

Питання та відповіді

When does Deadlock Season 2 start?

Season 1 ends on November 5, 2026 at 2pm Pacific (22:00 UTC), and per Valve the next season starts immediately after. The new season's rules have not been published yet.

What happens on November 5?

At 22:00 UTC Season 1 ends and the next season begins with a fresh leaderboard. Valve has not said whether ranks reset or calibration returns; by Season 1 rules, a new season starts with 8 calibration matches.

Will my rank be reset?

Your rank goes into an 8-match calibration. It is a soft reset: your history counts, and your Season 1 peak stays in the profile permanently.

How many placement matches will Season 2 have?

By Season 1 rules, 8 solo matches with an Oracle VI ceiling. There is no separate Season 2 announcement yet; we will update this guide when the patch notes are out.

Do I need to unlock ranked again?

No. The entry requirements — 60 Standard wins and three heroes with 15 wins — are counted across the account's lifetime and do not reset with the season.

What if I miss the season start?

Nothing is lost: calibration begins with your first ranked match of the season, not on a calendar date. The leaderboard needs 75 matches in the last 30 days, so you can enter it at any point.
