Deadlock Placement Matches Boost
A booster plays your calibration matches so the season starts from the right rank, not from the bottom of the ladder.
Season 2
Placements decide the whole season
Every new ranked season opens with a soft reset: 8 solo matches set your starting sub-rank again. Play them badly and you spend half the season climbing out.

How placements work in Season 2
Every season your rating is soft-reset, and your first 8 ranked matches are placements: they are solo-only and they decide your starting rank. The calibration ceiling is Oracle VI - no placement run can put you higher, no matter the results; the road past Oracle runs through regular ranked play. Valve has extended Beta Season 1 and has not dated Season 2 yet; it will open with a fresh calibration.
Placements are the most expensive stretch of the season in rating terms: each of the 8 matches weighs far more than a regular game. One thrown match at the start costs you several wins to claw back later, which is exactly why these games are worth handing to a booster.
What's included and why Piloted only
A booster plays the calibration on your account - Piloted only, because placement matches are solo queue and there is no way to enter them as a party. Every match played shows up in the order on its own - result, K/D/A, sub-rank points - and the final rank comes from results, not promises. Already played some of the 8? Order only the matches you have left; the price is per match.
The booster signs in via a QR code you approve in the Steam app - no password changes hands - and plays behind a VPN matching your region. A placement order pairs naturally with a rank boost afterwards, once the calibration sets your floor.

Questions & answers
FAQ
Questions about this service. General ones are in the FAQ on the home page.
How many placement matches are there in Deadlock?
Eight, all solo. They open at the start of each season after the soft rating reset.
Can placements calibrate me straight into Eternus?
No. Since the 2026-07-30 patch the calibration ceiling is Oracle VI. Anything above that takes a rank boost through regular ranked matches.
Why is this service Piloted only?
Placement matches are strictly solo queue - there is no way for a booster to join them in a party with you.
When does Season 2 start?
Beta Season 1 ends on November 5, 2026 at 2pm Pacific (22:00 UTC), and per Valve the next season starts right after. If your account has not calibrated in Season 1 yet, the booster can start right away.
I've already played a few placements - can you finish the rest?
Yes. Set how many matches remain in the calculator; you pay $10 per match for exactly the games left.
