Description

From the author, in the original language.

Installing
Download deadlock_hud_v41.zip (the mod), or 1-click install it with your mod manager. That's all you need.

By hand: unzip it and put pak47_dir.vpk in Deadlock\game\citadel\addons. If there's already a pak47_dir.vpk in there, rename this one to any unused number (pak48_dir.vpk etc). If you had an older version installed, remove it first so you aren't running two copies.

Changing the settings (optional)
  1. Download hud_customizer_v41.zip and unzip it anywhere. It's a program, not a mod, so don't put it in addons or 1-click install it. On Linux, get hud_customizer_linux_v41.zip and run launch-linux.sh (needs Python 3).
  2. Close Deadlock.
  3. Open HUD Customizer.exe, change what you want (there's a preview you can drag things around in) and click Apply.
If your mod manager reinstalls or updates the mod, your settings go back to default, so just open the program and hit Apply again. If Windows warns you about it (it isn't signed), click More info, then Run anyway. The source code is the third download if you want to check it.

What it does
  • Health bars split into 250 or 100 HP segments on heroes, summons, camps and objectives, in three styles: stacked, grid and single (it grows with max HP, or stays a fixed length like the old League bar). Each kind of unit can have its own style. Lane troopers keep the game's own bar.
  • Current/max HP above heroes, objectives and camps (it follows the game's Show Health Values setting), with bullet shield HP next to it.
  • Hits flash the bar, show the damage you just did in white, break off emptied segments and give the bar a little jolt.
  • A smaller hitmarker with a bounce on every hit. Crits stay yellow.
  • The floating damage numbers are replaced by a readout by your crosshair: your last hit, your total this fight, and your DPS.
  • An optional custom crosshair (off by default) drawn on whole screen pixels, so its lines stay sharp and even at 1440p and any other resolution. HUD Customizer has a crosshair editor that shows it at its real size.
Nearly all of it can be changed in HUD Customizer: bar style, colors, sizes, where everything sits, which hit effects play, hiding unit names or the "Critical" text, heroes' ultimate icon beside the bar, a 0.5 tick width for one-pixel ticks, presets, and a Performance tab for lower-end PCs. If there's an option you'd like, let me know in the comments.

It should work alongside QOL Lock. I tried to keep it in theme with the game as best i could, but im not an artist.

The goal of this mod is to make every aspect of the HUD customizable. Im taking it element by element based on what feedback I get, so if there's something in the HUD you wish was different, let me know. It changes the priority of what gets done next
