Deadlock ships an unused "hero reveal" animation for 30 heroes. Each one is a short, cinematic entrance with its own animated camera, built for a reveal screen the game doesn't use yet.
This mod plays those reveals in the menus. Hover a hero on the hero select / roster screen, or see them on the main menu, and they play their reveal in place of the static pose.
AI disclosure (AI-assisted code)
This mod was built with AI-assisted code. I used Claude (Anthropic) to help find and debug the animations. I wrote and ran the build tools. Claude wrote a Python script that extracted Valve's hero reveal animations from the game files.
Tools: Claude Code (Anthropic), Reduced CSDK 12, Source 2 Viewer (ValveResourceFormat), Blender.
