MOGLOCK

What is this

MOGLOCK is a client-side meme mod for Deadlock made for chaotic "just for fun" matches and streams. It has two parts in one pak50_dir.vpk:

• Localization - MOG is woven into ~99% of Russian and English strings: Juggernaut → Moggernaut, Eternus → Mogternus, Deadlock → MOGLOCK, kill → MOG, death → MOGGED, streak → MEGAMOG and thousands more.
• HUD script - over-the-top effects in the match, built on top of the game's own UI.

The mod only reads what the game already shows in the HUD. It does not touch gameplay, memory or the server.

Features

• Kills and streaks - screen flash, hitmarker, huge text with the victim's name, MOG rain; DOUBLE MOG / TRIPLE MOG / MEGAMOG / GIGACHAD with rainbow edges and a streak timer; HEADSHOT MOG on crits.
• Death - GOT MOGGED, a roast line, a frog sound.
• Crowd control - STUN-MOG / SILENCE-MOG / SLEEP-MOG popups when you control an enemy.
• Denies - DENIED / NO SOULS 4 U, DENY LORD on a streak.
• Farm trip - every soul explodes into MOG, combo counter, orbiting MOG, giant corner MOGs, flying words, milestones (SOUL ENJOYER, FARM GOD...). The rainbow stays on the screen edges, and all the colour calms down automatically while you fight heroes. The combo cools down slowly instead of resetting, so you keep it between camps.
• Objectives - guardians, walkers and the mid boss get their own announcements.
• Sinner's Sacrifice casino - break the machine with a heavy punch for a JACKPOT: coin and word fountain straight from the machine, game UI particles, a storm of gambling memes.
• Aura for every player - aura is counted from the kill feed with the same rules for you, your teammates and enemies (kills, multi-kills, shutdowns, aura steal, objectives). 10 ranks from NPC to rainbow MOGGOD, an Aura King, KINGSLAYER bonus, a side ticker.
• Scoreboard (TAB) - an extra column with everyone's aura and rank, and a rank badge under each player.
• MOGTERNUS MODE - get 1000 aura without dying to fill a small bar in the top-left corner. Then you get a 10-second "phonk edit": impact frames, world blur, letterbox, glitch title, Eternus badge, lightning, aura flames, film grain. It never covers your crosshair.
• Parry - a successful parry triggers PARRIED: hit-stop, blade sparks, screen slash, crossed katanas and an UNO REVERSE card (custom drawn art). Kill the parried enemy for VISCERAL MOG.
• MATCH REPORT - your rank, stats, verdict and the aura top of the lobby after the game.

Installation

Deadlock Mod Manager (easiest): click the 1-Click Install button on the main file. If you also use another HUD mod that replaces the same file (for example Well Played On Kill), disable it or move MOGLOCK above it in the load order.

Manual:

1. Close Deadlock.
2. Download the main file (MOGLOCK_v1.0.zip) and copy pak50_dir.vpk to Deadlock\game\citadel\addons\ (create the folder if needed).
3. Open Deadlock\game\citadel\gameinfo.gi and make sure there is a line Game citadel/addons above Mod citadel. Steam resets this file after updates.
4. Start the game. "MOGLOCK HUD ON" flashes when the HUD loads.

Automatic installer: download the second file (Installer_Customize), extract it and run install.bat. It copies the mod (or updates it, even if it was installed by Mod Manager), fixes gameinfo.gi and disables conflicting HUD mods (renamed to .disabled, nothing is deleted). After a Steam update, just run it again.

Note: the first match after installing can take a while to load (shader compile). It is not a crash.

Customization (no Python needed)

Remove the mod in Deadlock Mod Manager, or delete the MOGLOCK pakXX_dir.vpk from Deadlock\game\citadel\addons\ (pak50_dir.vpk by default).

Open moglock_hud.js in Notepad. Everything is in the CONFIG block at the top: texts, sounds, which effects to show, aura values, MOGTERNUS MODE, farm and parry settings. Save the file and run customize.bat; it rebuilds the mod and installs it.

• CHAT_ON_KILL - send a message to all chat after your kill (off by default).
• MOGMODE_INTENSITY: 0.5 - calmer MOGTERNUS MODE; each effect can be turned off separately.
• FARM_EDGE_ONLY, FARM_HIDE_IN_FIGHT - farm trip behaviour.

Uninstall

Delete Deadlock\game\citadel\addons\pak50_dir.vpk.

Compatibility

• Conflicts with mods that replace localization files or the HUD file hud_damage_impact.vxml_c / well_played_on_kill.vjs_c, and with any other mod named pak50_dir.vpk.
• Sound and model mods work fine.
• Languages: Russian and English.
• After a big game patch some texts may show as Citadel_Something until the mod is updated.

Warning

This mod has strong flashing lights, rainbow colours and screen shake. Do not use it if you are sensitive to flashing images.

Some parts (MOGTERNUS MODE visuals, scoreboard column) have only been tested in the sandbox and in a few matches. If something looks wrong, report it (see comment instructions).

MOGLOCK — мем-мод для Deadlock. MOG вплетён в 99% текстов RU/EN (Moggernaut, Mogternus, MOGLOCK). HUD добавляет эффекты за убийства, серии, фарм, денаи, объекты, казино Sinner's Sacrifice, парирование. Аура считается у всех игроков по одним правилам, есть звания до MOGGOD, колонка ауры на TAB, MOGTERNUS MODE и MATCH REPORT. Мод только читает интерфейс игры и на геймплей не влияет.

Установка: закрой игру → распакуй → MOD_vpk/install.bat. Настройка: moglock_hud.js (блок CONFIG) → customize.bat. Удаление: удали addons\pak50_dir.vpk. Подробности — в README.txt внутри архива.

Внимание: много вспышек и радуги.
