Description
From the author, in the original language.
A cash-register "cha-ching" when you walk into shop range, so you know you can buy without opening the shop to check. Works in matches, the Hideout and Sandbox.
What it changes
The game already plays a sound when you enter a shop, it's just so quiet you never hear it. This replaces it with a short cha-ching (coin ring plus a couple of coins landing) that's a bit louder than the shop UI sounds, so you catch it mid-fight. It plays once when you step in. Everything else is stock.Install
Mod Manager: add the zip and enable it (installing alone doesn't enable it).Manual: close Deadlock, take
pak01_dir.vpk out of the zip, rename it to pak30_dir.vpk (any free number works) and drop it in Deadlock\game\citadel\addons.Heads up
- Conflicts with mods that replace the whole
ui.vsndevts_corworld.vsndevts_cfiles. Mods that only swap sound files are fine. - No sound when you leave range. The game has an event for it but never actually plays it.
- In the Hideout or Sandbox you might hear it twice. That's two shop events firing at once.
- If Valve changes the UI or world sounds in an update, this will hold the old ones until I update it.
- Client-side only.
