ReTranscribe

ReTranscribe is a very simple (but very... very time-consuming) mod aimed at bringing near-perfect audio-to-text accuracy and closed captioning to the recently-added subtitle system and in-game Dialogue Player.

Both of these features are controlled through the same localization file. Both also contain many errors ranging from simple punctuation mistakes (or questionable choices) to misplaced or misspelled words, and even full incorrect sentences. So as a writer with a processing impediment and too much time on my hands... you know I gotta do it.

I hope this is helpful for you, or at least makes the inaccuracies less irking!

Currently ReTranscribed:

• Celeste (except Pings)
• Ivy (except Pings)
• Sinclair (partial)
• Hidden King (except Ally)
• Archmother (except Ally)

Additional changes:

• Erroneous double/triplespaces have been removed from every line that had them
• Instances of both the ellipses character ("…") and three periods ("...") as ellipses have been unified to only use the single character, and many 4-dot ellipses have been reduced to the normal 3
• Instances of "The" being treated as part of a name (and thus capitalized) have been uncapitalized, except for The Doorman (whom the selection UI uniquely includes a "The" for)
• Instances of "rejuv" in reference to the Rejuvenator have been capitalized, and a few instances of the misspelling "Rejuvinator" have been corrected
• Instances of both "Miss" and "Ms. Shelly" have been unified to only use "Ms.", as is correct for an adult of unknown marital status
• All instances of an uncapitalized "professor" in reference to Dynamo have been capitalized
• All instances of an uncapitalized "father" in reference to Venator have been capitalized
• Missing localization entries for all conversations unlocked by playing through The Binding of Oathkeeper have been added
• A few instances of an uncapitalized nationality have been corrected

Coming eventually:

• Any characters not listed above, either in list order or depending on popular demand (leaving comments is a good way to get me to prioritize something!)
• Hero "Ping" lines and Patron "Ally" lines - these are extremely large sets of very simple and passable-enough lines, so I'd rather save them for after the 'meat' of the mod is completed
• ReTranscription of the Spanish localization!
• Hero backstories? There's some weird sentence structure in there, too...
