Pick where your buff and debuff icons show in Settings > Game > Interface > Buffs & debuffs:

• Default: the mod changes nothing, everything stays under the crosshair.
• Classic: buffs and debuffs back next to your health bar, like before the 2026-09-29 HUD update.
• Mixed: one kind stays under the crosshair, the other goes next to your health bar. Pick which in the drop-down next to it:
  • Debuffs center: debuffs under the crosshair, buffs by your health bar.
  • Buffs center: buffs under the crosshair, debuffs by your health bar.

Your choice is saved and survives restarts.

• The icon column leans with the tilted health bar and uses the old HUD's icon size.
• Timers, stacks and the red debuff border all stay, since the icons are the game's own.

Patch-resistant

No HUD layout or stylesheet is replaced. The mod adds one script line each to two tiny screen-effect layouts (only one has to load) and does everything else while the game runs. If a patch ever breaks the column, the mod puts the game's own icons back under the crosshair instead of hiding them.

Install
Grimoire / Deadlock Mod Manager: install and enable it.
Manual: rename the VPK to an unused pakXX_dir.vpk (e.g. pak50_dir.vpk) and put it in Deadlock\game\citadel\addons\

Notes

• Client side only: it only changes your own HUD.
• Conflicts with other mods that replace panorama/layout/hud_screen_effects_stunned or panorama/layout/hud_screen_effects_scope.
• Works alongside Hide Investments, Old Damage Portraits and Shop Notes.
